You are my longest friend, and have put up with me the longest. In 2009 you became a wife. I am so grateful that you welcomed me on your journey. We have had some rough times. We have had some great times. but just remember that I LOVE YOU all of the time! You are and will always be one of my best friends. Brandon White-
You have opened my mind up to so many things. You truly have made my college experience fun. Without you, I do not believe I would have enjoyed it so much. (and that may have just sounded awkward, if taken in the wrong way) Your joyful outlook on the world has made my 2009 absolutley fabulous. In 2009 we became much more close, starting with Spring Semester "Thursdays", trips to see Gregory and KFC clubbin. Then with Young Democrats, and GATE, then to hanging out every single weekend, and merging our friends together. and, I can't think of a more perfect fit. Everyone gets along so well. (except for that one crazy psycho), and now talking to you every single day of my life. Thankyou for listening to me ramble about stupid stuff all of the time! I love you alot, and you mean alot! You do so so much for me. I appreciate you and THANKYOU for being the best friend a girl could have. Just remember that this is what I do. I sit on you. I Lurve Yurrr Alrt! YOU are the real deal, my berry best friend. THANKYOU for making my 2009 fantastic, even during the wackadoodle times. Peace and Love in 2010!

HAIR HAIR HAIR! LOVE!

Okay, so speaking of shows. I have been OBSESSED with HAIR for the past year. and been thinking i'm a hippie or something. LOL
So naturally, thats what I wanted to see on broadway.
Well...It was my first broadway show! I was SO excited!
It was SO surreal to just be in NY, It didn't even hit me that I was there until after we had already left!

OKAY. On Wednesday of our trip, the 2nd day we were there we decided to do TKTS tickets for the Matinee of HAIR. The reason we decided to do this instead of the ticket lottery was because there were 3 of us who wanted to see the show, and the ticket lottery was too risky. We ended up getting like 5th row orchastra seats! Since we did TKTS the seats were 50% off, and they ended up costing about 58 dollars! It was amazing.

I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THE SHOW that I was literally shaking the ENTIRE time! I had a huge grin on my face the entire show, I looked rediculous! The awesome thing about HAIR is there is virtually no "4th Wall". The cast is dancing in your face, throughout the audience the entire show. They hand out real flowers to the audience and flyers for the "BE-IN" It makes you feel so apart of it! I wanted to get up, and sing along the whole time.
AND, not to mention I wouldn't mind having Will Swenson, or Gavin Creel dancing on me. hahaha.
Welllll. I was so nervous/excited during the whole show, that I didnt let myself cry once, until that is...the end dance party! OMG, We got to go up on the stage and sing let the sunshine in! It was a dream come true! I don't really remember it alot. It was so amazing! and then.....the tears came runnnnning down my face. I had a semi emotional happiness breakdown right after we danced on stage at hair. It was so surreal. I loved it so much. And it meant the world to me.

Afterwards we rushed outside to do stagedoor. This was my first stage door EVER! I was SOOOO excited! I got most of the casts autographs, and pictures will Gavin, Will, Caissie, Kacie, Andrew, and Brianna Carlson-Goodman. I basicly fell in love all over again with HAIR. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't say enough about it. or, I will cry. LET THE SUNSHINE IN!

WELL. That was my first broadway show experience. I think the thing that is so cool about it, is that about 4 months ago, I only imagined what it would be like to get to see HAIR or any show on broadway...or just to be in NY at all. and It happend. I am so GRATEFUL. Espcially on this Christmas day, in this especially hard year. HAIR has brought me so much happiness, and taught me to truely LOVE everyone.
Merry Merry Merry Happy Happy LOVE! :)

New York Bloggin....Welcome to Broadway... A trip of firsts.

There is a video blog somewhere that Stephanie and I tried to upload before leaving for New York City, but It did not end up uploading for some reason.

WELL... I am now home from NYC! I am going to fill you guys in on all of the details!

STARTING NOW...

Sunday, December 13th Stephanie proceeded to start out journey..to Catoosa, Oklahoma!

In Catoosa was Cori's Grandparents, whom we stayed with that evening. SHOUT OUT to them!THANKYOU so much for feeding us and letting us stay with you!

MONDAY, December 14th

We start our LONG drive to NYC @ about 6 AM! The drive to Princeton, New Jersey is about 21 hours without stops, and We needed to be in Princeton by 6 A.M. the next morning because of parking. This is why we left then.

The first...first for me...was driving through St. Louis!

It was really exciting seeing the arch in St. Louis because I had never seen it before, and also crossing the Mississppi river!

All the other bouts of firsts for me..were crossing all of the state lines.

I had never been to these states until then.

The long list of states that we encounterd on the drive TO NYC include..Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey..and eventually New York!

The list is a little different for the drive back, and I'll inform you on that @ a later time!

After driving for liiike...ever. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. ADVICE: make sure you have a driving, and sleeping schedule for everyone in that is going to be driving! This will eliminate any wierd tension and/or tiredness or anyone not getting sleep when needing too.

TUESDAY, December 15th..

We arrive @ Princeton Junction at around 6 A.M. This is where we parked at and took the train into NYC from. The reason we decided to do this is because it has daily parking for only 4 dollars a day!

The train ride into NYC was not bad at all. It only took about 30 to 40 minutes and it cost around 12 dollars! We then arrived @ New York Penn Station.

Apon walking out of Penn Station..Its a total rush of excitment. Walking right into the crazy city. We walked right by Al Roker...down broadway...and saw Times Square!

We then lugged our Jesus sized suit case about 8 blocks to where we would be staying...

Big Apple Hostel! Which is pretty much in the middle of times square! http://http//www.bigapplehostel.com/

This was my first time ever to stay at a Hostel and It was definitely not a bad experience at all!

Here we were...right in the middle of Times Square in the Theatre District! BROADWAY!

New York Bloggin...Getting Ready

It's two nights before we leave for New York.

Last night us girls got toegether to watch ELF. One of them had never seen it, so we had to show her the beauty and hilariousness too it.

As we were watching Elf, of course we were talking about our trip. One of the girls has a friend in Richmond, Virginia and they had offered us to come by, and sleep on the way home. OF course we said YES! BUT, do you know what this means? We are going on a day trip in DC! How exciting! I am all to excited about this trip in general. I have never really been anywhere exciting..and this is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.

We told ourselves that..We should do this now..While we still can. And we are doing it!

Now on to the actual getting down to getting ready. Currently doing laundry...getting all my warm clothes together..and sadly realizing I don't have many cute warm clothes. I don't think my Beauty and the Beast winter hat, or mickey mouse gloves count either. So.. I'm searching for those.
Tonight I worked my last shift at target before we leave. It was kind of wierd, and I'm not sure why....Tomorrow I have a VErrrry long day ahead of me.. So I think Sunday will come fast enough.

This is when we are leaving, and what days well be where.

Sunday- Lauren and Stephanie drive to Tulsa to Cori's Grandparents house where we will be staying the night.

Mon- Leave for NY, Stop in Dayton to see a friend....and sleep possibly...

Tuesday- Morning arrive in Princeton where we will be taking a train into NYC...and thenn we will be seeing a show!

Wednesday-NY day

Thursday-NY!

Friday- New York! Friday we plan to go to MOMA, because they have free admission then. and lord knows we be trying to save money. :) and It's amazing.

Saturday- Morning- Train back to Princeton and then Proceed to drive to Washington D.C. Where we will spend most of the day looking at monuments and going to the american history smithsonian meuseam. We are excited about this beacause, most of the monuments are free, and so is the smithsonian!

Saturday-evening time, drive to richmond to sleep a few hours, and then proceed to drive back home to good ole OKC!

Life is good.

On Sunday, December 13th 2009 I plan to embark on a completely spontaneous, adventurous week long trip to New York City with 2 of my best friends, The wonderful Stephanie Bolton and the fantastic Cori Spruiell. This trip was planned about 1 and a 1/2 months ago whilst having lunch after class in the Nigh University Building at the University of Central Oklahoma. It originally was planned for 4 people. but things happen, people change...etc. Here I am 5 days away from the actual trip itself. When this trip was planned, I don't believe that I actually Believed it would be happening. But it is.... happening. and I am going to blog about every detail. I want to remember this for the rest of my life. and I will.

In the days to come, I am going to let you guys in on every aspect of this trip. From planning, to shopping, to all the preparation, to the conversations we have along the way. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I do.
